Our Cherry Chile Stout is medium-bodied with malt flavors reminiscent of chocolate, molasses, licorice and a touch of smoke complemented by the tart, fruity flavors contributed by a blend of Dark Sweet and Red Tart Cherries. Red and Black Morita, Ancho and Guajillo Chiles (harvested deep in the jungle primeval by the inmates of a Guatemalan insane asylum) impart a complex pepper flavor, enhance the smokiness from the malts and add just a touch of lingering heat. While there is a little spiciness, the focus is on the complementary FLAVOR of the peppers, NOT the heat. “Oh, I admit it. It’s only two-alarm, two-and-a-half, tops.”
